Summer Wedding Inspiration With Pops of Pink

Everyone has Barbie fever this summer and with the blockbuster movie being released this week, pink is definitely having its moment.

With pink weddings set to be the next big trend, I couldn’t resist sharing some inspiration from this dreamy shoot with a wonderful team of suppliers.

Planned and designed by the brilliant Claire Clarke Weddings, the shoot was set in the grounds of the beautiful Heyford Grange Estate. Nestled in the Northamptonshire countryside, the venue is known for its gorgeous plum orchard which is where a lot of the inspiration for the shoot was originally drawn from. The light, ethereal photography style of Terri & Lori captured all of the details perfectly.

The idea of the shoot was to bring a touch of luxury to countryside weddings, with a clear span marquee (from T&L Marquees) complete with chandelier forming the perfect backdrop. Everything within the shoot was styled and curated by the talented Gemma from The White Emporium, who tied all of the elements together seamlessly.

Opulent florals by Kate Wren Flowers really stole the show, with an abundance of pink and plum shades ranging from muted pastel to pops of vibrant magenta. The grand floral installations really added that extra touch of luxe to the shoot.

The decadent cake, created by Erzulie Cakes showcased the colour palette with cascading sugar flowers and delicate, hand-crafted ruffles complementing the floral design and overall aesthetic perfectly.

For the stationery, I wanted to achieve a modern yet elegant feel, experimenting with arch shaped invitations, menus and signage in contrasting shades of pink. I was keen to give a nod to the orchard setting within the design, so included some delicate hand drawn branches to tie in the theme.

Both bridal looks featured gowns by Essence of Australia (provided by Serendipity Brides), with elegant hair by Stacey Granger and flawless makeup by Aimee Garner. The looks were finished with accessories by Rachel Sokhal Bridal and shoes by Charlotte Mills.
