Autumn is such a gorgeous season for a wedding, lots of lovely golden light and so many beautiful and rich colours all around. It’s no wonder so many of you choose to get married at that time of year.
Spring hasn’t even properly sprung yet, so you may be wondering why I’m posting about autumn weddings but if you are getting married in September, October or November, now is the time to start thinking about your wedding invitations.
If this is you and you haven’t started looking at wedding stationery yet, no need to panic. I usually recommend that you send out your invitations between 3-6 months before the day so as long as you stick to that as a guide, you’ll have plenty of time.
If you’re a little stuck for ideas, here are a few of my favourite autumn invitations.
This design is the ‘Olivia’ suite from my current collection and features delicate watercolour botanicals in those lovely autumnal colours. Paired with a burgundy or deep green envelope, it gives an elegant nod to the season without being too in your face.
This suite was designed for an autumnal shoot on the Cyprus coast with Natalie Stevenson Photography, which featured lots of gorgeous golden hues. I love the simplicity of the design and the delicate hand-torn edges which give an organic feel to the stationery set.
This understated, modern design is the ‘Elizabeth’ suite from the current collection. It’s a minimal design featuring hand-drawn lunaria and seeds, giving it a foraged feel.
This was a bespoke design for a lovely couple getting married in October 2020. They thankfully did manage to have their wedding (although a lot smaller than originally planned). The design was inspired by the Bride’s beautiful bouquet and featured lots of rich autumnal colours.
